Overview

This includes mandates that health insurance policies cover selected types of medical professionals (e.g., chiropractors). Currently, states have imposed such requirements for more than 30 different categories of health providers. The Duke Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research has developed a draft working paper on the benefits and costs of mandated health providers: (pdf)

Chiropractic Services

Physician Assistants and Certain Nurses
